Forest Hills of DC Earns 2022 AHCA/NCAL Silver National Quality Award

Washington, DC – Forest Hills of DC has been recognized as a 2022 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipient by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated improved quality outcomes for staff, residents, and individuals with disabilities in long-term and post-acute care.

“Through resiliency and their commitment to serving our elders during the most challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic shows our relentless pursuit in delivering performance improvements that resulted in superior outcomes,” said Crystal L. Scott, MSN, RN-BC, LNHA Forest Hills of DC Administrator. We salute all our heroes across all departments.

“I applaud Forest Hills of DC for reaching this important milestone in their quality journey,” said the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair Tammy Kelly. “This achievement celebrates the commitment and fortitude of Forest Hills of DC to find ways to enhance the lives of its residents and staff”

As a 2022 recipient of the Silver award, Forest Hills of DC can now advance in further developing comprehensive approaches that meet the criteria required for the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award.

The award will be presented to Forest Hills of DC during AHCA/NCAL’s 73rd Convention & Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 9-12, 2022.

This year, 40 skilled nursing care centers, 3 assisted living communities, and 3 skilled nursing/ assisted living providers in 24 states and the District of Columbia achieved the Silver Award
